President's Message
Dear AAHAM (American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management) Hawthorn Chapter Members and Prospective Members:
I am really excited and honored to have the opportunity to serve as the Hawthorn Chapter President for 2012 – 2014. We have a great leadership team working to bring exciting educational and networking events to you this year. I want to add a special thanks to all sponsors and volunteers, because we would not be successful without them.
Please find either attached or enclosed a membership form for local membership. (If you need more please access our website (www.AAHAM-MO.com). The cost of membership is only $35.00 and as a member you will receive all newsletters, upcoming information of educational events and also information about teleconferences presented by National AAHAM.
AAHAM is the preeminent professional organization for revenue cycle professionals and is known for its prestigious certification and educational programs; professional development of its members is one of the primary goals of this association. We have thirty-three chapters and over 3,000 healthcare patient financial professionals from Hospitals, Clinics, Billing Offices, Physicians and Multi Physicians Groups and allied vendors.
I have heard it said many times at National AAHAM meetings, that the value of AAHAM raises sharply the more you become involved. I have found this statement to be true personally. The contacts, friends, and knowledge I have gained from becoming involved in invaluable to me.
Please take time to review the communications we send out and check the website often for upcoming activities planned by our chapter. We are really looking forward to this year and want you to find value in your membership. If you would like to join a committee, or have questions, please feel free to contact me or any other chapter leader listed on the website. Thank you for your continued support of AAHAM.
We would also value your input as to what you, as members, would like us to cover in our educational sessions, places, dates and times of the week that are most convenient for you to attend and what your facility has budgeted for educational expenses. We want to accommodate you, our membership, because without you and our sponsors we are nothing.
